Michelle Diaz

Michelle Diaz is the executive assistant to the President & CEO of the Illinois Economic Development Corporation. She primarily assists with scheduling and managing incoming event requests on behalf of Illinois EDC staff.

Prior to joining Illinois EDC, she was a scheduling coordinator on the surrogates’ team for the Harris-Walz presidential campaign. The Illinois native also formed part of the media logistics team for the 2024 Democratic National Convention where she helped over 1000 news outlets get coverage of the historic event.

Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and public relations/advertising from DePaul University. She enjoys spending time with family, horseback riding, and trying different restaurants in both the city and suburbs.
