Paulina San Millan

Paulina San Millan is the Vice President of Business Development for Intersect Illinois. As VP, Business Development, Paulina leads the business development team and oversees and develops strategies on business attraction.

Paulina has 16 years of economic development experience and has focused the last 6 years on business recruitment and attraction. She has worked for the public, private and non-for-profit sectors.  She previously worked as a site selection consultant for Newmark, where she advised corporate decision-makers on location strategy.  She has also worked at the state of New Mexico’s business recruitment and marketing organization for five years in their business development and research department.

Prior to that, Paulina was contracted by the Small Business Development Center to assist companies become export-ready and increase exports. She also worked on commercializing technology at the UNM Rainforest Innovations and at the City of Albuquerque in their economic development department.

Paulina earned her MBA from the Anderson School of Management focused on marketing. She also holds a BA degree in economics and a minor in business from the University of New Mexico. She lives in Chicago with her husband and daughter.
