Lucia Bertone-Ledford is a lawyer and project manager with a background in advocacy, government, and strategic operations. After beginning her career in a traditional legal setting, she transitioned to public service, joining the Intergovernmental Affairs team in the Chicago Mayor’s Office under Mayor Lightfoot. There, she worked on a wide range of projects and legislative initiatives, with a focus on Planning, Zoning, Buildings, and Licensing.

Lucia later joined Guidehouse where she was a program and project manager, also advising local governments on federal grant management, compliance, and reporting. Most recently, she served on the Democratic National Convention Committee, managing assets and logistics for a large-scale event.

Passionate about mission-driven work, Lucia brings a collaborative approach, strong analytical skills, and a deep commitment to equity and results. She is excited to bring that energy to the Intersect Illinois team and contribute to the organization’s vital mission of promoting inclusive economic growth across the state.
